Orchard Colour Crunchies Books

I've been to the library and picked up some books called "Orchard Colour Crunchies" for my DC, but I am so confused. There seems to be different colours but I really don't know what order we should be reading them in.

Any help on the book bands for this series would be great.

I have never heard of them myself but what colours do they have?

the national curriculum book bands work in a specific order
pink
red
yellow
blue
green
orange
turquoise
purple
gold
white
lime

obviously different publishers may have their own but looking at the ones you have picked up can you see any correlation with these colours?

They don't seem to correspond with the "normal" reading band colours.

Thanks for replying.

oh. that is typical isn't it. They don't seem to crop up on the publishers website so I suppose must be older ones.

In that case I would probably sort them based on number of sentences per page, size of font, complexity of sentence/words, decodability etc. good luck
