Hi,

can anyone please recommend Maths and English workbooks that we can use with DS to improve his knowledge/understanding? He is KS1 and in Yr2.

Many thanks!

Hi wickedfairy:

DD2 was given photocopies out of magical maths toward the end of Year R and absolutely adored it and responded very well to it's mix of games, funny stories and very visual examples of how to do things.

Letts also do Enchanted English 6-7 year-old book: www.amazon.co.uk/Letts-Enchanted-English-Age-6-7/dp/1844191710/ref=pd_sim_b_6 - on amazon which let's you have a look inside to see the idea.

and there's magical maths sets: e.g. www.amazon.co.uk/Letts-Magical-Skills-Stage-Collection/dp/B00F5BOVOU/ref=sr_1_27?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1382008849&sr=1-27&keywords=letts+maths+6-7

amazon does the whole set (English + 3 maths for age 6-7) here: www.amazon.co.uk/Letts-Enchanted-English-Mythical-Collection/dp/B00F5BPBJO/ref=sr_1_57?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1382008911&sr=1-57&keywords=letts+maths+6-7
