My little girl has had 2 visits already and will have at least 2 more. She is very scared about it, though. But all of her friends seem fine and are very keen, and didn't really need so many visits.

DD2 is going for an hour on Tuesday but she is at nursery there and DD1 goes so its not as big a deal to her .

DD2 has been for 3 seperate 1 hour visits. She's loved it. There is also a Teddy Bears Picnic in a coupld of weeks where parents can join in. We take a picnic and a teddy bear and spend the afternoon together with the teacher and other new reception children and parents. Have a picnic and then play games together.

ds gets to go in the middle of July for a morning (but he too is in the nursery and has a big sis there so knows what to expect) while all the parents go and have coffee together in the hall

I think those who aren't in the nursery go on the same day but they also get a home visit from their teacher

It's getting amazingly close now!

We will get a home visit in September (did last time anyway) but I think we come off poorly compared to some of your schools
