missing breaks for under performing schools

does any one know anything about the children at my primary stool having to write objection letters to the government so they don't lose there break times due to the school having bad grades please help one of my children is terrified because he has diagnosed dyslexie and doesn't do well at school and doesn't feel he can try much harder

Sounds like utter bollocks.

Neither local nor central Government has any say in length of breaks.

op - do you think it may be an exercise in letter writing, and the teacher has invented a fake reason for them to write to government? Your dc may have got wrong end of the stick?

Agree with others - it is most likely to be an exercise in persuasive writing. Even Gove hasn't come up with that one yet.
