Best thing to do is to go and look at the schools.

We moved from the area 6 years ago but from memory your choices living with that postal code is

Wallace Fields Junior school
Danetree Junior School
Auriol Junior School
Epsom Primary

I would suggest you go visit each and see what one you like. Read offstead reports and then go with your gut instinct as to what is right for your child.

Like I said we moved 6 years ago but my dd1 then attended Wallace fiends Junior school we had a great experience with it. I had a friends with children in Danetree and Auriol who also were happy (didn't know any who had children in Epsom primary so cant comment)

I don't know your area, but having done the applying for junior school thing I would say

  • find out where children from your current school normally go
  • find out where you might realistically get a place (near us there is a mixture of junior and primary schools - no chance at all of getting a place in any of the primary school in Y3)
  • check the admissions criteria (if distance, will you be likely to get in?)
  • having made a short list of schools you have any chance of getting in to you then visit and look for what is important to you for your child (kind of like you did when looking for a Reception place).

(I found my shortlist was actually 1 school I had more than 0.00001% chance of getting into, which somewhat reduced any need for decision at all).
