Does anyone know what bookband this book is?

My son Year 2 has bought home a black book so I had a google which level this is and I officially give up apparently there isn't a black level in any system. So I'll try a different tactic. Does anyone know which level Max's New Friend (Rigby Star) is?

The teacher has written he has moved from orange to black in his reading record and this is followed by an exclamation mark im trying to work out if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Black at our school is the same band as lime - so he's doing great!

Different bookbanding systems will have different colours. Gold refers to the levels from 'Bookbands for Guided Reading' but there are other schemes in use that use different colours. Sometimes schools have their own system. Sometimes they don't have the right colour stickers so they substitute another one.

I think Cliff Moon have a black band in their scheme.

Gold is the same as Black in many schools. Stage 10 ORT.

Orange is Stage 7 so he has jumped a few levels!

Black follows Orange in the Cliff Moon system. Without looking it up i think black books are around level 2c.

gold is book band 9.

our school uses the same colours as the national book band ones but in a different order...
