I am curious to know why ofsted, along with information on things like attendance and results, include the percentage of girls in the school? Does anyone know what this indicates, I know that boys are much more likely to be SEN but can't work out any other relevance.

There is a general belief that girls get better results. Therefore the % girls is to pin point where there might be an anomaly over the ration of boys to girls. In some year groups, especially in smaller schools, it can work out that either there is an abundance or a dearth of girls
