DD's school was second half of the summer term: Bit of everything really, but it does include everything Wilshaw has been going on about in the last 12 months e.g. challenging work for all abilities with a call-out for high ability, governors knowing their stuff, school weaknesses, plans to rectify etc.

Here's a site with the last 50 inspections on a Google map if you want to read a few reports:

They inspected a tranche of schools round here last term, a couple not even due for Inspection.

All bar one lost their outstandings, several are appealing after the way the inspections were carried out.

In ds's school there was lots of guff about poor attainment in a particular year group when at the very start of the report they acknowledged the cohort came in well below expected levels.

Good luck, you'll need it...

Ours was done very end of term last year ... classrooms all stripped of work, building works happening over summer, so stuff being moved around all over the shop . It was fine in the end, but the 1 day warning waa very stressful!

We had ours the last week of term too. They wanted the expected information, data data data, progress of vulnerable groups, progress of more able. Foundation stage starting and end points. Fast paced teaching, lessons with challenge, visible progress in lessons. The surprise was that the team were really lovely and not at all what we all feared and expected. This was much appreciated seeing as we got the call the very last Monday of term when we were dead on our knees!
