What are you asking

LIZS · 11/09/2013 15:10

do you mean you have deferred his place or not applied for a school in time and now need an in-year place ?

anjlikansal · 11/09/2013 15:25

Have you put him on waiting lists for all your local schools.

Whatever else in the area suits his age group, such as swimming or play groups? Many will want paying for a full term up front though. Or see if there is a local Home Education group which may have activities or Children's centre. He doesn't have to be in school/education until the term after he turns 5 though so a place will probably come up before then .

When did you apply?

The LA do have to find a school place for him, although this can be at any school. They have to find a place for him now, even though he is not five until July. They have to provide a school place for him the September after his fourth birthday- info here.
