Feeling guilty...

Thanks in advance for any advice or reassurance
I have a ds in y1 now and at the start of the summer hols I had a baby, usually I put effort into my ds reading and writing and spelling and maths but since having the baby ive been really lazy with it all and he has hardly practiced any of it. We have done lots of outdoors activities and have spent time reading to him to make sure he gets some one on one with me without the baby.
What I'm asking is will it matter that im just trying to get through these early weeks and have let things slide with regards to reading etc

No of course it doesn't matter!

Congratulations on your new baby, time to do writing etc will appear as you all settle in to being a bigger family.
