School uniform. Collar in or out?

After seeing that many schools now have polo shirts and a round neck jumper and seeing pictures of friends' LOs first day at school I just wondered do you keep the collar in the jumper or take it out?

Just a light-hearted topic I know! But instinctively I would take it out, but looking at all the pics it would seem I would be making a rookie mistake!

Definitely out. At the start of the day anyway. After gym - if they remember to put it back on, lunch - yogurt is particularly fetching and playtime - what will we use for the goal posts today it won't be an issue.

couldn't care less just happy that they still have all the clothes they left with (even happier if some are clean enough to be worn the day too!)

Not an issue - we're still on collars and ties here.

My girls wear their's out of their jumper with the buttons done up

Not primary school here, but at my kids' secondary it works this way:

collar out: you are a newbie or a certain sort of nerd

collar in: is cool.

My ds (yr 11) would rather go to school naked than with his collar out.

My dd (yr 9) wears it out which I personally thinks look much nicer.

Buttons: top one left undone.

Out. If it's in, I can tell it was a PE day.
