Reception teacher visiting us tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting her and I have a few logistical questions but just wondering if wise MNers have any advice about the kinds of things I'll be kicking myself for NOT asking, after she's gong...? Thanks!

What their homework policy is, arrangements for lunch/PE.

if they do any sessions to explain how they teach phonics etc, do they do regular newsletters saying topics and which sounds they are doing that week/fortnight, how much reading support do they expect, when do they start with reading, PE, how much warning do they give of dressing up days/requests for money for activities/outings etc.

Thanks so much! Lots of things I'd not thought of!

We have our home visit tomorrow too. I will be asking about the water bottles they are expected to take and ask if it should be filled at home.
Also, do spare clothes go in a normal rucksack in addition to gym bag and book bag?
