My DS is 4.5months and a 121/2 shoe

Whilst lots of people on MN seem anti Clarks shoes, I buy my boys the Clarks Rapto shoes which have the sole that goes right up the front of the shoe, so they can't scuff holes in them. They have always lasted the year until their feet grow again.

Hush puppies are good for my 3 ds's, although just got ds3 geox as know their trainers last

Kickers are indestructible.

I've never had a problem with Clarks shoes. TBH, my children have grown out of them before the shoes were unwearable.

we have had no trouble with clarks (normal shoes not specifically school) or start rite (school). They are probably the best fit you will get and if you child has larger than average feet then you don't have a huge number of choices - my reception daughter was a 13...

I have to admit though we have only had the more expensive ones, not sure if the ones that are £24ish are poorer quality (the soles look thinner to me) than the £34ish ones.

ours get very scuffed but we got 2.5 terms out of them before she wore through the inside sole

Ricosta are good, but expensive

I buy Clarks for ds3 (7). He is a size 11.5 and they have always lasted well.
