St Olaves Prep Eltham

Does anyone have any DCs at Olaves Prep Eltham? Thinking about if for our DS who starts reception September 2014. Went to an open day a few years ago with old headmistress but don't know much her sucessor. Thanks

Went for a visit last Wednesday and was shown round by the headmaster who has been there 3 years - all the children appeared very well mannered and happy and since looking round the school and asking around I have heard very good reports about the school. Interestingly one child in pre prep was a child at my sons nursery who always appeared to play on her own and did not mix - however when I saw her at olaves she was completely different - laughing and playing with other children. The school really seem family and child focused and when I asked about what may happen if I was delayed in London due to trains ( following the London bridge signal failour) he told me the children would be taken care off and told me of one situation where a parent was so stranded a teacher took the child home ( with parental permission!!) am not aware of other schools that would do that!! So as of today have enrolled my DS to start pre prep in sept 2014- hope this helps

I have two children at St Olaves and in my opinion it is a wonderful school. The head teacher is caring and knows all the children and parents by name and the teachers are so accommodating and caring. Plus, the selective examination results this year are excellent, with lots of academic scholarships being won to independent schools. It is a friendly environment and my children are both thriving there!

Hi, I know I this is a Zombie thread - but I have exactly the same question - anyone out there with a more up to date view on St Olave's?
