That's it really. dS1 has just finished reading the first one and appears to be besotted with the books.....

Ds1 loves them too. No idea what level they are but ds2 has a reading age of 8 and flies through them in less than an hour apiece so I'm guessing they're not terribly advanced Grin

My DS (7) still re reads them from time to time.

I don't know what level they are on but I do know that Horrid Henry is stage 12 to give you a comparison.

Thanks, that's helpful. The language seems a bit more difficult than horrid Henry so a bit beyond level 12 perhaps.

HH I think is quite easy to read but its the inference that makes a high ish level (according to DS's teacher). I do think Beast Quest is harder though.

Check this book levelling list it has two Beast Quest books levelled (at levels 28 and 35).

Horrid Henry is levelled at 25 on that list, wonder if its the US way of levelling books...

Is it reading recovery levels rather than book bands. Reading recovery 22/23 is supposed to be white book band 10 so that might make sense with HH.

That sounds about right Grin
