Why can't I find an Ofsted report?

I am looking for the Ofsted report for an independent school, but they do not appear to be even registered with Ofsted. Surely all providers have to be registered and inspected, even if not within the state system?

And I think that even if an appeal is made against a report by a school, that the Ofsted report still has to made available to parents? (the only reason I can think of that it may have disappeared)

Does anyone know of any reasons why the Ofsted report may have gone missing?

i have had similar problems finding reports on the ofsted site when searching by postcode. however if i search by the name of the school it will appear (where previously it was missing from the list of search results!) maybe try different kinds of searches?

Try the Independent Schools Inspectorate

Independent schools don't have to be registered with foster unless they provide early years (nursery) provision or boarding accommodation.

Many are inspected by the ISI (link above) instead.

According to the Ofsted website:

there are three other independent inspectorates which inspect the provision of the other independent schools in England also at the request of the Department for Education. These are known as ?association? schools:

the Independent Schools Inspectorate inspects schools whose headteachers belong to one of the associations that make up the Independent Schools Council

the School Inspection Service inspects schools that belong to the Focus Learning Trust

the Bridge Schools Inspectorate inspects schools linked to the Christian Schools? Trust or the Association of Muslim Schools.

So if it's not on the link Hassled gave try Bridge Schools Inspectorate or the School Inspection Service

Thanks all for the useful tips and links. It does have EYFS so I thought that they would have an Ofsted, but it seems not. Have read the ISI report now. Thanks!

The EYFS only has to have an ofsted report if the parents can claim the early years funding back from their school fees. Otherwise it's ISI as others have said.
