DS is in his last year at primary. He is one of those children who just gets on with it. He rarely receives merit awards. These awards appear on the the school'sl newsletter.
This year he has received a few. All good. However I have just got the newsletter out of his bag and discovered his name does not appear on list.
I know it is obviously a mistake but I am just feeling a little sad.
Know I am being soppy but it was his last day today.
I know its done now and he won't remember it in a few years and nothing can be done.
Just wondering if I am being totally soppy even giving this headspace.

I would feel sad too Sad

Do they list all the kids who are leaving or the ones who have won awards?

spanky2 · 23/07/2013 20:39

My ds1 is the same. I would feel sad too. It is usually the same kids who get noticed and it is good bribery for the ones with behavior problems.

The problem is ds has noticed it. Also dd who got loads last year didn't Get any this year.

oh that is such a shame, especially as I expect he was really excited about being on it and it is the sort of thing you would like to keep. I would feel sad too.

Yes I do keep them. Tbh he was on one at the start of the year but thats all. I know in the past they missed the cutoff so maybe I should say something. At least than it cohld be added to the next one.

It's a shame an error has been made but there will be plenty of other opportunities in the future :)
