Sorry if this has been asked lots but a search was taking me ages and I couldn't find what I needed.

Dd is 6.5 and needs extra support for school apparently especially with Maths. I've clocked Percy Parker and also just received the CD she's already danced to waving her arms! :)

Any other ideas would be so useful that are really fun as I want her to be really enjoying her summer and done right i'm sure learning is fun.

Hi looseleaf:

Now some of these may not be appropriate for Y2 - but I don't quite know where your DC is at (as some Y2 children are ready for multiplication and others are not).

Oxford School Improvements recommends these:

fds.oup.com/www.oup.com/pdf/oxed/primary/top-10-maths-apps.pdf - most are only for ipad/ iphone and not android yet, but check.

PC Advisor recommends these: www.pcadvisor.co.uk/features/software/3380559/best-maths-apps-for-children/

Hertfordshire LEA recommends these for KS1: www.lea.herts.sch.uk/appslist/ks1.html
-------

There are also a number of great websites you should use for Y2:

BBC BITESIZE KS1 Revision: www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks1/ - games to help prepare for KS1 SATs at end of Y2.

Highly recommend Woodland Junior School Maths Zone: resources.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/maths/ - just select the area you want to work on and you'll link in to all sorts of great games.

Mumsnet has a link to Maths Champs: www.mathschamps.co.uk/games5-7 - which has age appropriate games - this is link to games for 5 - 7 year olds, but you can select 7 - 9 year olds if needed - link here: www.mathschamps.co.uk/games7-9?

We've got Primary Maths on the ipad for dd2, also 6.5, it supports the NC - I would start with Y1 levels, then let her do the occasional Y2 one (hand picked, so she can do them) for confidence Smile

These are amazing. So helpful, thanks Pastsellbydate and Elibean This will really help us and I'll see what DD manages well as some can always wait for later
