She's brilliant. DD has had a fab year with her, done fantastically on her SATS and just thoroughly enjoyed herself. I'm sad for DD to leave her class and wish she could have her forever. I love her so much. Tonight she told us we were lucky to have such a great and talented DD.

I felt like this about DS1's year R teacher, she was amazing. Not so much the teacher he had in year 1 until Easter, but then he's really got on well with the temp who covered this term, and confessed he got sad in her goodbye assembly yesterday. Bless...

Yes I feel the same about ds's year R teacher- she really 'got' him. I hope the year 1 teacher is nice too!

Same here I absolutely love dd's year R teacher. Dd wrote in her leaving card "I love you very much"

So nice to see lots of lovely teachers out there. Almost makes me want to teach.

My dd1 had possibly the world's best teacher this year, and a totally lovely LSA.

They're taking her class on through year 6, too. Apparently the whole class were hysterically sobbing with joy when they found out! Hormonal ten year olds Grin

I felt like that about DS's Reception teacher last year (who has also had him for literacy this year and done wonders in terms of his reading), and we both practically skipped home last week when he came out with a letter saying that his class would be having her again next year for Y2. She really gets him and knows exactly how to motivate him to work, and she's just fab.

I adore my DD's yr1 teacher. She is really lovely and totally 'gets' my DD.

So you can imagine how over the moon I am that come September she will be my DS' reception teacher :o
