Boys choristers schools

does anybody know how 7+ work with boys choristers schools? are they all fee paying schools and are they tested for academic as well as voice?

Yes. Fee-paying but there are bursaries - money not an issue. Academics and voice are tested. Important because re secondary school, if you are not rich and your son is not academic or music scholarship material, you are destined for the local comprehensive at 13.

Suggest you do a CHORISTER forum search and read other posts carefully.

Good if your ds is academic (well-above average and independent only) and very musical and if you live near the cathedral and don't mind giving up your son completely to this.
