No recommendations for Devon, but it's a good idea to start 1 yr to 6 months before the exam, depending on the school (1 yr if it's super selective, maybe less if it's an ordinary grammar.)

Too soon could lead to burn out, too late could put too much pressure on or not cover all the material.

Dc both found a year was perfect as it allowed them to get familiar with the material without it really impeding on their excessive social normal every day life
