Reception - end of year report

Can you please let me know if parents of reception kids get any year end reports?
Last parents evening we had easly spring and we do not really know about our DD progress, not mentioning how she is doing comparing to other kids. The tearcher only repreats that we shall be proud of her.
If we get any report - when do you think it will be? They finish school on the 24th. Thanks

My DD is in reception and also breaks up on the 24th and she got her school report yesterday with a parents eve tonight.

We got one last year - I think it was on the Friday of the second-to-last week.

I would expect them to give you one. But it will be how she is doing in relation to how she should be (expected level) not how she's doing in relation to the other kids.

ours reports are sent home this friday apparently, so a week and a half before the end of term. they will have had to do the early years assessment of them at the end of reception so should be telling you if they are achieving the expected levels or whether they are above or below that. Reports don't give any indication in relation to the other children, unless they send home a letter with it saying something like 'most of the children have achieved the expected levels or something similar.

I think by the end of this week is the norm. It gives enough time for any questions to be answered, and is close enough to the end of term to provide a full picture of the child's progress throughout a whole year.

My reception DS gets his report on Monday. No parents evening this term.

We get a report at the end of this week but no parents evening (have parents' evening in terms 1 and 2 so I guess they feel there is nothing more to be said at this point).

Oh, and no good school will compare your dd to her classmates (and it would tell you nothing useful if they did). They should compare her to the UK average though.

Reception here. No parents evening this term but reports coming this Friday. We break up next Friday.
