Ds's teacher is an NQT and has been absolutely brilliant this year, she has really gone the extra mile for DS and I would like to show our appreciation somehow.
He's in reception, so there are also a large number of TAs who are nice and work hard. I wouldn't want to leave them out, either, but I really would like to get something that the teacher would appreciate/write a card saying how much she has made a difference.
I don't know what to get though!
I know she is sporty and she plays a particular sport - DS thought about getting something to do with that but I don't know.
Also for the TAs - I don't even know how many there are because they chop and change which year groups they work with.
He's my first/only child, so this is new to me!
Can someone advise please?

thank you :)

As a TA I always appreciate something made by the child - even if it's just a card.
My favourite present was a little, plain wooden photo frame that the little girl had decorated with feathers and sequins etc.

I'd probably ask how many TA's work in reception, no point buying lots if only 2 of them are in your DC class. I like anything- even the smallest thing, it's nice to just know you are appreciated. Teachers get a lot of mugs though! What we do love are cards- we all have to put these things in our development folders now.
