When do children born in January 2012 start school?

I'm having a brain block at the moment and can't work out the maths!

My dd is in foundation year, going into year 1 in September. Her 6th birthday is in November.

My DS was born in January 2012. What year will he start school?

The baby I'm pregnant with right now is due in November 2013, when will she start school?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I can't do simple maths since getting pregnant. TIA.

January 2012 birth is September 2016

November 2013 birth is September 2018

Thank you! Oh crap...I thought 2013 baby would start school in 2017.

It's the academic year they turn five. A baby born in November 2013 will turn five in November 2018 which is the academic year 2018-2019 so September 2018.

January 2012 baby will be five in January 2017 but that is the academic year 2016-2017 so September 2016 start.

That's assuming they don't start formal education while they are still in the womb. Ban all holidays in favour of short intensive education and chuck them all out at 6 to work in the mines before then.
