Class blog

I have just created a blog for my class to keep parents and other family updated on what we do in school. The feedback so far has been very positive, with many parents saying it is great to have an answer to "what have you been learning today?" Without the answer "nothing" or " I don't remember". What sort of things would you like to see on a blog for your child's class?

Seriously good security/privacy settings.

Even if you have no children in this group who have specific privacy needs, you may have in future.

Also a fall back system for parents who prefer not to access information on line, or are amongst the third (?) of households who still do not have online access - especially as these are often the more deprived/chaotic.

Thanks meditrina, you are right privacy setting are important, at the moment all of 'my' parents have signed to say that they are happy for images and videos of their children to go onto the blog/ school website. Because of the individual nature of our school all households have access to the Internet but we will keep up the weekly "what we have been doing this week" stickers and newsletters for now. I am hoping we can eventually phase these out and just use the blog to save on the endless paper we send home very week.
