Moving to Swindon

Looking to move to Swindon (North) near Grange Drive.

Anyone know what the area is like?

Are there any nice play parks nearby as I can't find any on Google Earth?

Any thoughts on the local primary or secondary schools?

LOADS of play parks, the parish council are really keen on spaces for kids. So there is one just off Grange Drive near the junior school and another on Delamere Drive near the infants. And plenty of others around.

Grange Infant school is brill Grin. Junior school is now Federated with the infants but no DCs there so can't really comment.

I like the area, nicest in Swindon imvho.

Thanks for your feedback - do both of these have play equipment as I can only see large playing fields on google earth? If so, what age would you say they are geered towards?

Any other good things for children around North Swindon that anyone knows about? I am particularly looking for a weekend drama / singing group for my 9 and 5 year olds

Yep, both have equipment, the one on Delamere Drive has a mix of stuff, all newish, so suitable for tots to teens. Grange drive one not quite so good for tots, more 4 upwards. Try streetview and take a walk down Delamere drive perhaps?

There is a stagecoach class that runs in Swindon somewhere although I think it is in the centre of town, but only a short drive or bus journey away. And there are loads of dance schools around too.

Hop that helps!
