In year 5 our children go to an activity centre for four nights. This year it is costing £250!! Does that seem reasonable? What does your school do? How much does it cost? Many thanks, just hoping for some feedback as this, to me, is half a family summer holiday...

£260 for 4 nights away at an activity center for Y5 and 6 (15 intake school) I think it is reasonable..

DS going tomorrow.
£270 for 4 nights.
I think it is expensive, in terms of absolute cost rather than value for money - which is probably not unreasonable when you break it down.
I also think it is totally unnecessary.

Our school goes in P7. This year is costing £305. The price is on the outdoor centre's website. So know its true.

My DD went last month to a place in North Devon (from South Oxfordshire) and the cost was £290 for 4 night at an outdoor ed centre. She had a great time, worth every penny. DS (yr 4)going next month a somewhere much closer, £75 for 2 nights.

I also work at an activity centre, and I know costs are kept as low as possible, but things - staff, training, equipment, insurance are very expensive nowadays.
