Hello all, this is my first child off to school so a little unsure of the process we have sent back our slip confirming we would like to accept the place, was just wondering what happens then? Do we get invited in to school soon to talk about the process? A bit unsure as letter was very vague. Thanks

Most schools will send you a pack of information including term dates, uniform list, etc, and invite you to a meeting to meet the other parents, the teacher and TA(s), and the head, and to explain the settling in process.

We received a pack with all kind of forms from the school plus DD received an invitation to a couple of afternoons to get to know the teacher and school. She loved it, it was addressed to her and lovely written.

We also had one evening for Q&As, v dry much practical issues like how lunch boxes are supposed to be, how communication works, what they would like the children to do themselves etc.
