Just google and a pdf version comes up :)

mrz · 18/04/2013 17:28

There aren't any levels in EYFS.

Teacher's Pet do various funky child-friendly versions ... displays.tpet.co.uk/#/ViewResource/id1310

I was mixing it up with the ORT colours and levels-sorry :(

Squarepebbles · 18/04/2013 20:14

The new assessment is quite different children are assessed as Emerging/Expected/Exceeding in all 17 ELGs

Squarepebbles · 18/04/2013 21:11

Man thanks.Found the 17, where are the descriptions for the levels before they achieve the ELGs? Not sure of correct jargon.

The 17 are the ELGs but teachers then have to decide whether a child is emerging/expected/exceeding those \ELGs.

christinarossetti · 19/04/2013 07:19

Are there expectations of where children 'should' be at the end of EYFS in the way that 6 was the expectation under the old frame work?

mrz · 19/04/2013 13:03

The expectations are that children should be at the expected "level" in all ELGs.

christinarossetti · 19/04/2013 14:41

Ah. Yes, that would make sense.

Thanks mrz!

I've just discovered a fab ebook that helps parents to support early learning goals

See www.amazon.co.uk/Starting-School-Practical-learning-ebook/dp/B00CANOCLI/

malteserzz · 19/04/2013 16:17

A good level of development is for a child to achieve the expected level in all of the early learning goals for the prime areas plus literacy and maths. They will score 1 for emerging, 2 for expected and 3 for exceeding so will all get a score of between 17 and 51
