Primary Schools in Ickenham

Hi everyone

My little one will be ready for school in couple of years time. We were thinking of moving to Ickenham. Can anyone give an idea about primary schools in Ickenham? I have shortlisted two:

  1. Breakspeare Primary School
  2. Glebe Primary School

It would be great if you can throw some light on these two or suggest some other good schools around that area.

Both are very good schools (we used to live across the road from Glebe). Breakspeare is very hard to get into as it's catchment area is very small. My kids go to Oak Farm in Hillingdon which is also very good. Where abouts in Ickenham are you looking. Ruislip also has some excellent primary schools. TBH, most schools in that area are fine and achieve excellent results.

Thanks muttonjeffmum...

I was particularly interested in moving within a distance of 0.5 miles of breakspeare school. Would that give me a good chance to get him into that school? We will be taking something on rent so can be quite flexible, the priority being living near a good school. Was interested in somewhere around swakeleys road. Can you suggest any other decent localities?

Many Thanks

A friend moved from Hayes to Ickenham to ensure kids went to better schools. They are at Brakespeare which I believe is well-rated.

Thanks Iggity

Do you know how far they live from the school? what would be a good enough distance to get admission in breakspeare?

Thanks tiggytape. The distance 2508 is that in metres?

Glebe is strong academically and nurturing. The Head is excellent, knows all the children as individuals. Has had great SATs results over the last few years.

Hello, we are looking to move to Ickenham, I'm just wondering does Ivy House Road reach the catchment of Vyners and Breakspear school?

Many thanks in advance.
