Space Project...

Hi there! My daughter is Primary 3 and embarking on a 'research' project on Outer Space. I lack imagination & time & I'm wondering if any of you have any ideas on how to make it exciting & interesting for her....TYIA.

There's lots of info out there about Mars Curiosity Rover, and since it's working right now it's nicely current and brand new discoveries being made. She could do something interesting on that? My DD is desperate to!

Or the Voyager mission - historical info about what it was designed for/made with (less computing power than the average 7 year old owns these days, pretty much), plus the fact that it's kept going far longer than anyone ever expected and is now at the outer limits of our solar system. It'll be the first man made object to leave our solar system, and is still sending data back about what it's finding.

Model of solar system? To scale (it would be massive though!).

Stargazing live: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b019h4g8 - also BBC with a great list of links to other websites at bottom right of opening webpage. The first episode had a lot about curiosity rover - but sadly this is no longer available on BBC iplayer.
