Moving to Harrow/Pinner/Kenton area

We currently live at Ilford - east london and We are planning to move to areas in and around Harrow. We are looking to apply for Year 1 admission for our son in and around Harrow area. Can someone please suggest good primary schools here. We were informed that unless you are located within 0.3 miles from the school you will never get admission to good schools. So we are bit worried. Please share your views.

Harrow has many outstanding schools, however you are right that it is a very overpopulated area so catchment is very small. The best you can do is contact Harrow Education Authority and ask which schools have places in Year 1. Once your child has a place you can then apply to your preferred schools to be put on the waiting list. Do you have a house yet? Pinner and North Harrow have some very good schools, both primary and secondary.
