On my way to school, I fell through a hole into a paralell univers. Immediately I could tell that I was in a very strange place because everything was the wrong size and the wrong color. I didn't even reckernise my own hands and feet:they felt like normal but they looked as though they bellonged to an alien.

(Goes on in this vein for three more paragraphs which I can't be bothered to type into my phone. is this l4? If not, what does ds need to do differently apart from working on his spelling?

There is no way to guess at the level from that short piece ...normally a level would be based on a number of pieces not one and certainly not from an extract.
When I first read your post I thought level 2

I think it's a solid level 4. He's got some complex sentences in there and a varied vocabulary.
There are a few too many punctuation errors so I'd be working on that, rather than worrying too much about the spelling.

As the poster above says I would need to see more of his work to level it correctly. Smile
