Level 6 maths sats

As a parent of a year 6 child due to sit the above with the rest of the sats this year, could someone please explain the benefit of a level 5 to 7 practise paper. I personally cannot see the benefit, but would appreciate the views of wiser people.

i suppose some of the questions will be similar, but surely it makes more sense to use past KS2 Level 6 papers as practice?

There aren't many keystate 2 level 6 papers in existance.
