DS is in Year 2 in an independent school. They don't do SATS but instead do nationally standardised tests in Maths and English (i.e. reading & comprehension) twice a year. But they don't formally assess writing as such, which I suspect is DS's weakest point.
Would someone mind hazarding an opinion as to what SATS level his writing (below) might equate to? It was written entirely unaided at home (I didn't even know he was doing it) and reproduced faithfully with his original punctuation.
(By the way, Spyro, Tree Rex and Grenade Generals are characters in his favourite game of Skylanders, and Series 2 and Giants are further developments in the Skylanders range!)

So spyro sieres 2 spyro and tree rex said "fite" tree rex said it to the giants spyro said it to the skylanders and sires 2 spyro said it to the sieres 2 skylanders . Finerlel all that were left was 3 ganaid generrals tree rex spyro and seires 2 spyro chareged at them then tree rex did an elbow drop spyro and series two spyro did an ground pound. The end.
