dd1 (nearly 8) is being assessed soon for dyslexia. We have long suspected a problem with her, particularly surrounding reading and writing, but also in pronunciation of some words (melon to lemon, enemy to emeny, tobbler instead if toddler jump to mind, but there are more.)
Has anyone experience of an assessment, either as a parent or as a child themselves? What sorts of tests are done, what does it mean if she is dyslexic, etc?
