Good BBC site here

Might it just be War in Ancient Greece (weapons and armour and so on), rather than The Ancient Greek War (which doesn't really exist)?

mummatotwo · 20/02/2013 16:02

Well, there kindof was a Greek war. Athens and Sparta were at war endlessly. Sparta was pretty invincible on land and Athens at sea. They only joined forces to fight the Persians. (Everybody hated the Persians.)

Northey · 20/02/2013 19:30

But which would you call the "Greek War"? The two Persian ones? The Peloponnesian? Or any of the little ones - the Messenian or the Lelantine? All took place in Greece :)

Northey · 20/02/2013 19:31

Yeah, the Persians were the real baddies :)
