Just doing schofield and sims KS2 comprehension book 1 with Y5 DD.

We've just done the 1st page and it's too hard for her.

Can anyone recommend any easier reading comprehension passages? But ones that aren't too babyish. They need to be aimed at KS2 not KS1.

You could look at
www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=bridging+pack+comprehension which starts at level 2

Thanks. It's a bit expensive for parents to only use once.

Anything else?

There are some reading comprehension books in whsmiths. I have bought DD the KS1 book (age 5-7) which has passages from Fantastic Mr Fox, The Owl and the Pussy Cat and The Night before Xmas amongst others.

They do a KS2 one too (I have bought it for DS (yr3) but I have not looked at it yet...
