Difference between "complaint" to Ofsted and "query"?

Hi

After our primary school receiving a harsh overall judgement in their Ofsted inspection last November, a number of parents complained to them (Ofsted). A lot of us received letters back saying our "complaints" weren't going to be classified as such but would be treated as "queries" instead. Does anybody know what Ofsted consider to be the difference between the two?

Thank you!

Were you complaining about the report as in you disagreed with the findings or were you complaining about the school?

Complaining about the report as we disagree with the overall judgement (very harsh) but not the findings. We also said that figures were soon to be published which would have changed some of the findings, but though the Head told the inspectors about these, they weren't taken into account.

They call it a 'complaint' if they can be the saviours and ride in and save the day.
They call it a 'query' if its negative about them
