Half term inspiration please

Hi - half term next week and I'm looking for inspiration for days out.

We have 2 full days free with mini playdates with neighbours on the other days.

I'd just like to have a fun day out on my own with DC (age8). Have done all the usual London museums to death - just wondering if anyone could recommend something fun and engaging.

A swimming pool with flumes and waterslides?
The Lookout Discovery Centre (near Bracknell).
The National Space Centre (Leicestershire but worth the journey).
