Core Knowledge - How does it differ from current curriculum?

Watched Newsnight. Mentioned that Gove is a fan of American E.D. Hirsch who developed Core Knowledge.

Googled it and looks like a think tank, Civitas, is looking at it for the UK

Is this the way the syllabus is heading and how does it differ from what we have now?

Sorry, this Civitas is a charity and looks different from the think tank, Civitas, I think.
