Hi Ladies, we are planning to move to the Bromley area this year. We've looked around and we like Bickley, Chislehurst and Petts Woods. Does anyone know good primary state schools within these areas they would recommend. Thank you.

Marking my space and watching with interest. We're also moving to Bromley later this year. Problem is that ours will have to be an in-year admission. I've spent the whole of last night looking at the Bickley schools websites and they all look lovely to me.

Look fine to me too. Thanks for your answer and good luck with your move.

Most of the primary schools around there are good but the catchments are very small. www.bromley.gov.uk/downloads/file/1433/starting_primary_education_in_bromley_2013_booklet pages 40-41 of the booklet give details of the last 3 years.

Raglan Primary is lovely, but the catchment is just 0.2 miles, Bickley Primary (as opposed to Bickley Park which is private) also has a small catchment. St George's is less popular but has a new Head staring soon and so that could change.

St James in Petts Wood is marvellous but a church school and you have to have been church goers since conception!

St Nicholas in Chislehurst is also a church school and only 1 class entry so again small catchment.

Southborough is between Petts Wood and Bickley has mixed reviews.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Darrick Wood Infant and Junior schools. Lovely setting, swimming pool, my god son went there and was great.
