Should I be concerned about DD being a Level 3b in Y5? I've forgotten what the expected levels are...

End of y6 is expected 4b
End of y5 is expected 3a

So with more than half the year to go she should reach 3a by the end.

HTH. :)

It depends where she was at the end of Year 2. Between Yr2 and Yr6 they are expected to make 2 full levels of progress (but not necessarily in a smooth consistent manner).
So if she was a 2a in Yr2 you would expect 4a at end of year6, which would be unlikely if she is a 3b at end of year 5. But if she was a 2c in YR2 you would expect 4c in yr6 so guess achievable in the next year.

Yes she may be in line to be within expected levels but it also depends on what her levels were like at the end of year 2.

If she was 2b at the end of year 2 then she is in line with expected levels. If she was higher than that then she is not making expected progress and I would be concerned.
