Closed for snow on a teacher training day.

DC's school will probably be closed tomorrow as we have had some heavy snow here, however children were off school anyway as it is a teachers training day. Out of curiosity can they have another training day in lieu of this one during term time?

No.
Depending on the INSET plans they may do some work from home or may have twilight sessions to make up for it.
AFAIK they can't ask for an additional one within the term dates.

and of course the training could be held at another venue that is accessible
