DS Yr3 has a good understanding of phonics and when doing spellings or asked to think about the spelling of a particular word he is fairly good, if it is incorrect t it is at least phonetically plausible. At the weekend one of his school books came home and it had examples of written work done at school in it. The spelling was pretty terrible (I didn't point this out to him).
Does anyone have any tips on trying to improve his spelling when writing sentences or is this perfectly normal and will improve as he matures
