Me again.

So the January deadline is getting nearer and I have a few weeks left to make a decision.

Summarily, we moved from village to town but Year 1 DD couldn't get a school place in town. School is at end of road, but they did offer her school mile away with worst Ofsted rating, which I refused.

So she is being bussed into her old village school since September last year and is on waiting list.

My DS has been put down for the school at the end of the road.

BUT , do I put the village school down as his second choice, in the event DD won't be offered an in year transfer for at least another year or two, so that at least both of them are attending the same school, in terms of it being easier to get both to the same venue on time?

Although as I don't drive and am on benefits at present, it has recently become cost prohibitive to bus my DD in, somI have to rely reluctantly on anyone who can drive her in and pick her up.

The dilemma is whichever schools I put as second choice for my DS, his sister may not get in there on an in year transfer anyway.

Or shall I just leave it blank? But then he'll be offered the worst Ofsted one I already turned down for his sister.

Don't leave it blank or you won't have stated any preference. If he gets in she may move up the waiting list.
