3 girls from my class are taking it, 5 more from the other Year 6.

I've just seen 4 of them in the park playing on their scooters!

They all looked relaxed and well slept.

my friend's dd is. Friend is a basket case. If anything I think dd is overprepared, she's been tutored like crazy for years. I hope she gets in!

mrsshackleton: I wonder why the family is so anxious for her to go to SPGS. What would happen if DD doesn't get in?

My DD did the exam today and thought it was easier than she expected. I guess it is just a matter of expectations. The place was crawling with girls today.

Was your DD in the hall where 2 girls fainted?

According to our pupils they were carted out with great efficiency!

Our girls all popped back in to school this pm - very positive! So much better than the traumatised faces of last year...

My neice took it today....hope she wasn't one of the girls that fainted Shock!

She's been fairly relaxed about it. Mostly because its not her first choice, I think.

KingscoteStaff,

I asked my daughter whether she witnessed any crying (from what i read on past Mumsnet posts) and she said, "No." What happened? They fainted from exhaustion or shock? This seems extreme.

Did your girls said the exam was difficult or not? Did they complete everything, including Comprehension section?

My DD said that she and a few girls she spoke to didn't complete everything in that section.

Friend has just gone a bit loopy over whole 11+ process (and 7+ for son), I've never seen her so unhinged, it's a bit unnerving! Her dd is applying to loads of places, so no biggie (imo) if she doesn't get in, but I think mum has set her heart on it as THE BEST. Am just about to brave a text to see how it went. I'll be so relieved when this is all over and we can talk about something else, it's been a year of convos about private schools.

mrsshackleton, I'd be interested in hearing what your friend's DD thought of the SPGS exam. Funny enough, I'm also on a parallel track with a son concurrently sitting the 7+ exams. It's exhausting! ...And we did a 8+ exams last year for a DS which was very successful as he got into both WUS and CC. I can be a professional tutor after these experiences!

Have you gone doolally too? Grin Friend's dd said it went well, though she too didn't complete comprehension, you'll be happy to hear. Good luck
