Bute 7+results when do we hear ?

My DD sat the 7+ assessment for Bute and we were told we would hear by Christmas but haven't heard and are now away - I wondered if anyone had heard anything yet or they tell those they want for an interview first or let everyone know at the same time. Also I am really interested in hearing some honest views on the process and assessment .

Serh we received our letter on Friday. DD was called back for interview on 21st Jan. not sure what their process is for sending out letters. Perhaps yours just got held up in Christmas back log?

sorry, staar1928--I have been staying away from MN during all of the assessment chaos. To answer your question, we hear back some time this week I think. DD said they asked her some mental maths, about her school, and had her read a bit from the book she brought in.

They also "interviewed" parents--I think to gain a better idea of how serious we are about the school.

Do you have DD waiting for results?

We are waiting for the letter too! Its pretty nerve racking, we had our post today and we haven't received anything yet.

staar1928 we have decided to go with our other choice for school. The decision was difficult but we opted for where we won't have to do the 11+. I hope your daughter gets a spot at Bute!

I would expect your daughter has a good chance of being offered a place. My daughter went through this previously. Unless it has changed dramatically, I recall them not interviewing too many more than places available. She was offered a place but we turned it down for leh, which maybe the school the previous poster chose, so people do choose other schools. Good luck!

We actually decided to send her to City of London School for Girls. A very different ethos, I realise, but I think (and hope) that my DD will be happy there. Best of luck to you!
