Ks2 sats and handwriting

Was wondering if someone could help please . Is handwriting going to be assessed in the new KS2 English SAT next year? Also, will a child only receive a level 3 in writing if they don't join their hand writing up, even if the content is worthy of a level 4?
Many thanks

No-one really know yet what is happening next year! We know writing is going to be teacher assessed ( but how it will be moderated we don't know!) we know there is going to be a GAPS test ( grammar, punctuation and spelling) but other than the format we don't know what marks will be needed for each level or how this will tie into the writing levels, we aren't sure which handwriting will come under-the teacher assessment or the GAPS test. Basically no-one knows!
However handwriting was only 3 out of 50 marks under the "old" system so wouldn't stop a child from receiving a level 4 if the content was there-I had a child last year who was scribed for as his writing was so poor it was illegible-he achieved a level 5!
