Is there a syllabus I can buy for Y3 maths?

At DC's school we have had exactly the same maths homework every week for over 2 years Hmm I don't know what they are doing in class. It has proved impossible to get any information from the school.

Is it possible to buy a syllabus from somewhere, like you can do with GCSEs from the exam board? I just want to satisfy myself that we are covering all the material. I have a few KS2 books but they seem to be practice books for the SATS in Y6. I am looking for something that sets out expectations year by year.

The school is not great tbh so I am in panic mode.

Try Suffolk maths . Goto departmental resources and ks1-3frameworks. It's laid out as 5 blocks per year group (a-e) which you do each term.

These might help?

Your DS should be starting to work at L3 according to his age but obviously dependent on what he achieved in KS1.

Conquer maths is a great maths site and follows national curriculum school years.

Schools do not have to teach according to the order laid out in the Framework though Kenny so the teaching sequence in the OP's school might not follow.

OP, if you want do do something at home and your DS's school don't already use it I would recommend RM Maths. Many schools use it and it is great. It is £99 for a home user licence but that will do you for a daily 10min session for 4 years.

Thank you very much! That will give us something to go on with. Smile

Try Hamilton Trust too. Used by many schools and pretty cheap.

everything covered in year 3-can do some free questions per day as used as extra homework to reiforce the topic dd was doing.

its actually quite cheap at £59 a year or £8 a month.

I fancy joinning but already belong to maths factor
their winter school starts on 3rd dec and covers year group maths topics 14.99 and joined up to mataheltics through school.

Theres loads of books out there could also try keystage 2 cbeebies games.
